Frequently Asked Questions
1 / What happens if the weather is bad?
Baby Goat Cuddle Sessions are held rain or shine. In the event of rain, snow, or cold we hold the sessions in our detached garage. The garage isn't climate controlled so dress for the weather. In case of severe weather that inhibits travel, your session will be rescheduled.
2 / What should I wear?
Please choose clothing that is appropriate for the weather and that you don't mind getting a little dirty. If you have medium to long hair, consider tying it back or tucking it into a hat to keep it out of little goatie's mouths, some of them like to nibble hair.
We also recommend wearing boots or shoes you don't mind getting messy. This is a farm, there is poop, and sometimes mud. If you have visited another farm, please bring a change of shoes to avoid spreading germs to the animals.
3 / How old are the goats?
Baby Goat Cuddle Sessions feature goat kids that are anywhere from newborn to 6 months old. We have new babies being born through the Spring and Summer so there will always be some little ones.
We also include the mother goats in some sessions, especially when the babies are 3 weeks old or less. They are all very well socialized and love people, sometimes they're just as cuddly as the babies!
4 / What can I bring?
Bring your camera! If you post pictures online, we'd love to see them. Use hashtag #blazingbearhomestead so we can find them!
Please do NOT bring pets/animals to the farm. If you have a service dog, please contact us for more information.
No food, drinks, bottles, or pacifiers are allowed in the goat pens or goat cuddle session areas.
You are welcome to bring your own chair or blanket, just be aware that the goats aren't potty trained and accidents happen.
5 / When should I arrive?
Plan to arrive 5 minutes prior to your start time, but no earlier as previous sessions will be letting out. This leaves plenty of time to check-in and fill out your liability waiver form.
6 / Where do I park?
Please pull into the driveway to park. Do not park on the road. Our driveway is a semi-circle so it is easy to get in and out.
7 / Are there restrooms?
We do not yet have public restrooms available, so please plan accordingly.
8 / Can I walk around the farm?
We're not able to offer tours during ticketed events since they take our undivided attention. If you'd like to schedule an in-depth tour of our small homestead, please send a message so we can coordinate that for you.
